A Love Story Worth Celebrating

Some love stories begin quietly, in the small moments no one else notices — a glance held a beat too long, a conversation that doesn't want to end. Ours began exactly like that.

Through adventures near and far, around coffee on ordinary Mondays and beach days with extraordinary sunsets, our love story was written by the Author of all stories — so unexpected and yet absolutely wonderful. With countless prayers lifted up, multitudinous phone calls and FaceTime dates, not to mention enough air miles to circle the entire globe — not once but three times!

Our Almighty God has brought us together across the Atlantic, multiple state lines and time zones, from different cultures, languages and nearly a decade separating our lifetimes. Jesus Christ saved us, redeemed us and placed love in our hearts for one another. God created a special moment in time for our meeting, and designed every moment after with our happily ever after in mind — so choosing each other until the end of time is the most natural progression of our love story.

On September 21st, 2026, surrounded by the people we love most, before God and witnesses, we will enter into a covenant of lifelong commitment.

It is the greatest honor of our lives to have so much love and joy to share on this special day with all of you.

Evelina and Joshua together

A Love Story Across Time & Distance

Whoever said “true love knows no boundaries, it transcends time and distance” was onto something!

Two different cultures. Two separate lives. One Texas summer reunion that changed everything.

Evelina — born in a tiny village in Ukraine, grew up in Oregon, and moved to Texas for work. She later moved back to Oregon to be close to her family.

Joshua — born in Texas, grew up in New Mexico, and moved back to Texas for school. Later, the Air Force moved him to Ohio.

Their love story began at Lakeside Bible Church in Texas one Sunday afternoon. Evelina was visiting friends; Joshua was saying goodbye. They locked eyes in the hallway — and the rest was history.

After the wedding, the happy couple will call Ohio their home — but not for long. Together they will journey south.

"so wonderful to have a place that feels like coming home and people who love like family."
